One of my most favorite holidays is upon us! The 4th of July is a day of family, food, fireworks and honoring our great country. I made a few mini desserts to pair with your BBQ and watermelon that I hope will be the perfect end to your holiday.I've been at the beach with my family and we went to the Seaside Chapel for church yesterday. It was such a great Fourth of July service and reminded me of the history of our freedom given to us from the Lord. Our country was founded on Godly principles and George Washington said, "It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible." May we never forget that.Desserts are the best way I know how to celebrate this freedom so I collaborated with Crystal Strickland of Southern Posies, Jennie Weller Catering, and Nick Drollette Photography for a fun styled shoot. This shoot was extra special to me because Southern Posies is doing my wedding flowers and Jennie Weller is doing the catering for my wedding and I absolutely loved working with them! This Farmhouse Pottery cheese board is from Open Door Shop and it's 20% off with the code: elisabeth20. It's the perfect board for cheese and meats, breads and desserts.I've been searching for a strawberry cake with no jello or cake mix for quite some time and I was so happy to find this one with fresh strawberries! It has a great natural strawberry flavor and the buttercream melts in your mouth. I add a few drops of pink food coloring to the cake batter to give it a pretty color, but that is totally optional.[kindred-recipe id="1842" title="Mini Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Buttercream Frosting"]I love the flavor of blueberry and orange so this is one of my favorite desserts. It can also be served for breakfast and can easily be turned into a large bundt cake.[kindred-recipe id="1843" title="Mini Blueberry Bundt Cakes with Orange Glaze"]This tart is the perfect combination of flavors and is such a fun dessert for your guests. You can top these tarts with blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, or a mix of them all![kindred-recipe id="1844" title="Mini Raspberry Cream Cheese Tart with Shortbread Crust"]I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July celebrating our freedom in America! May God bless you all.
